VACANCY FOR: CLERK TO THE PARISH COUNCIL & RESPONSIBLE FINANCE OFFICER

We are looking for a permanent, community focussed person who can work independently and flexibly, principally from home, for 24 hours per month, including attendance at at least 12 Wednesday evening meetings per year.

The pay and conditions are in line with the National Joint Council for Local Government Services and will be dependent on the experience and qualifications of the successful applicant.

The successful applicant would be required to advise the Council on overall policies to be followed in respect of the Council’s activities and in particular to produce all the information required for making effective decisions and to implement all decisions constructively as required. He/she will also be responsible for the financial records of the Council and for the careful administration of its finances. Ideally, applicants would have already obtained or be working towards the CiLCA qualification (Certificate in Local Council Administration), but we will equally consider a person with comparative skills who would like to make a real positive contribution and difference to the future of our community.
